Official betting means placing a bet on the game through a sportsbook, or in some cases, on TV. This is a way to verify your bet and protect against fraud or manipulation. It also ensures that you can win the prize if you correctly pick the game winner and lose if you are wrong.
Generally, the rules of the Contest apply to all daily, round and seasonal contests within the Game (each, a “Contest”). However, from time to time, Sponsor may offer specific Contests with special or different terms and conditions, which will be described via the “prize details” screen in the Game or on Bleacher Report’s B/R Betting social media channels, if applicable.
Legal sports betting is available in Maryland at online and retail sites operated by FanDuel, Caesars, DraftKings, BetMGM, Barstool, PointsBet, WynnBet and locally owned Crab Sports, all of which have received sports wagering licenses from the state’s Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency and undergone a controlled demonstration with SWARC. Additional sportsbooks are awaiting regulatory approval after filing for applications.
